Located about 13 miles (about 16 minutes via VA-7) east of Opequon and the Third Winchester Battlefield Tour, this multiple Virginia Governor's Cup winning vineyard is nestled in the scenic, rolling hills of the Blue Ridge on the eastern side of the Shenandoah Valley.

Among its fine wines Veramar produces a pineapply and slightly toasty Chardonnay, a crisp lime Seyval Blanc, the strawberry-pomegranate 'Pink Chicken' Rose, an aromatic and slightly sweet Riesling/Vidal Blanc Blend, a lean and flinty Cabernet Franc, the bold and earthy 'Rooster Red' Blend, and a violet and spice Cabernet Sauvignon.

The vineyard is a lovely property, and the sophisticated wines are uniformly very good to excellent. The tasting room is attractive and comfortable with table seating and is well-managed by a knowledgeable staff. There is a comfortable and attractive outdoor seating area with pretty views. The vibe is laid back, and the romantic scenery makes Veramar Vineyard a favorite destination of brides and bridal parties. Veramar offers special events, picnics, tastings with food pairings, and festivals.
