By way of Napa and Sonoma, this family-owned vineyard and Virginia Governor's Cup winner hand tends 27 acres of vines to produce some of the most exceptional wines in Virginia. Part of the Nelson 151 tour in Nelson County, Pollak has a contemporary and spacious tasting room, as well as three outdoor seating areas including picnic tables by the pond. This is a great place to meet friends and family for an afternoon of conversation, tasting and taking in the views.

Located about 8 miles southeast of Waynesboro, Pollak produces, among its multiple-award winning wines, a creamy, pineapple-y Chardonnay - a rich strawberry and white pepper Rose from Cab Franc - a spicy Meritage and an earthy Petit Verdot - and my favorite, an addictive Merlot that is redolent of fresh blueberries.

The personable staff is knowlegeable about the wines and wine making and goes the extra mile to make your visit a memorable one.
