Located less than 15 minutes from Appomattox Court House National Historical Park and the Museum of the Confederacy Appomattox, DeVault Family Vineyards is a working family farm and vineyard with a down-home Southside Virginia feel. Housed in a big barn, the tasting room is spacious and well managed by a friendly and knowledgeable staff. The grounds offer a pleasant walk among the vines and rolling hills.

Among its fine wines DeVault Family Vineyards produces a crisp Niagara from the New York State grape of the same name and a bright Norton that is a delightful expression of Virginia's heritage grape first cultivated in the early 19th century. DeVault also produces a mellow Darion's Reserve, the Lover's Blush rose, the sweet Mr. D's Blend of Norton and Niagara, the crisp-apply Autumn Mist dessert wine, and the Old Time Watermelon summer fun wine.
